5oh
5oh was brought in to the shelter as
a kitten with 6 of his siblings. He’s very laid back and loves to be
petted.
Angel
Hi!! I'm Angel. My life hasn't exactly been perfect. In my old home, I was called ugly and pushed away. I stopped trying. I hid and didn't want anyone to see me. I hate to say it, but being thrown out was one of the best things that coulda happened to me. I was rescued by Spilled Milk. They taught me that I could be loved on. I'm not too fond of people looking at my face still. I like to cuddle it up to you so that you can love me but you don't have to look at me. I know I'm not too pretty. They tell me I'm gorgeous. I don't believe them. Do you think you could open your home to a homely girl like me? I don't eat to much. I sleep a lot. I do love treats though. If you think you would be able to love me, talk to my humans. They get sad and happy when we get adopted. I love them, but I think I'm ready to be on my own.
Ashe
Ash was given up because her owner didn’t have time for her. She loves to be brushed and loved on, but doesn’t like to share her attention. Luckily instead of getting upset and acting out, she just wonders away and waits for you to make time for her one-on-one.
Bat
Bat, aptly named for her giant ears,
loves to be loved on. She loves small
children. Whenever they come in to
visit, she stays right with them not wanting to leave their sides.
Birch
Birch and his sister Willow were found living in a tree over the winter. An older gentleman had been feeding them, but his mommy cat didn't take to well to new kittens. Birch loves to play and pounce, but is just as happy sitting next to you being loved on. He recently had surgery on his eyelids because they were inverted. The only thing he didn't like was the collar, which, unfortunately, left a bald ring around his neck. He does get a goofy look when you scratch it though :D The vet couldn't believe how well he did with the whole ordeal considering how high strung most cats are. Birch is one of our "special needs" kitties. He has seizures so will be on medication for life. You wouldn't be able to tell it though from the way he goes running through the house.
Bree
Bree was actually thrown out of car driving down the road where she hit an elderly man. She loves to be pampered. She also loves to sleep with you at night. And is a cutie when the camera comes out :)
Brenda
Brenda is a short-haired female calico. She is a little skittish but she is very friendly. She has her moments when she wants attention and then other times when she wants to be alone. She is good around other animals. She wants an owner who will play with and love her forever!
Casper
Casper is a short-haired white male. He is the brother of Spook. When we first met Casper, he wouldn't even let us touch him. He wasn't mean he just ran from us because he was scared. After some time though of giving him treats and gradually working our way to pet him, he has become rather lovable and friendly. He does well around other cats.
Cayden
Cayden was found running with his siblings at UC Clermont. He loves to play with his siblings, but still has some issues with being held by us. He loves to be loved on, so we're working with him to help him find his perfect home.
Chloe
Chloe is our little bunny. When she was first brought in, she would tuck her legs and head... like a rabbit. She was scared to let us touch her since she was born in the wild, but has come to love to cuddle in your lap and arms. She is still scared of people, but is coming around.
Chrysander
Chyrsander has come a long way since joining us at the shelter. He and his siblings were found at UC Clermont running with their mother. Unfortunately it is a high traffic area not meant for little kittens. He loves to play and be loved on. He still has some trust issues, but we are working through them.
Claire
Dot
Ebenezer
Ebenezer was once adopted out, but was brought back because he didn't stay "kitten sized." He loves attention, but is unsure around other cats. We often find him sleeping in the covers in his "supermodel" pose. He would do best as an only pet in a home with no small children, although he doesn't seem to mind all cats or dogs.
Eddie
Eddie loves to sun herself. Every day that the sun is out, she goes out
to the porch and basks in the heat. She
loves to be loved on. She is very laid
back and will wait for her adoration from her humans.
Grey
Grey is a front paw declaw. He was abandoned on the streets and was found starving. He is a loveable cat and would do best by himself or with one or two others. He tolerates dogs. He loves to hold conversations with you.
Houdini
Houdini more commonly known as "Houdi" is a black short-haired male. He was given his name because he likes to try and escape from rooms. He is very lovable and likes a lot of attention. He's a pretty outgoing cat and gets along with other animals for the most part. He loves to have his own bed, though. Most of the time he escapes, he runs to the closest new bed and geeks out. He would do well around kids of any age.
Imp
Independence
Indy was brought to us with pregnant 4th of July, 2009. Her kittens
have long since been adopted out, but she still remains. She spent almost a year in a cage at a vets office waiting for the right family to find her. We came to her rescue. She loves to be petted on and adores
attention. Especially if she is the
center of it. She would do best in a home with no other pets.
Iris
Juliet
Kalleigh
Kalleigh was brought in with her 6
siblings at about 4 weeks old. She hid
the first few months she was with us because the other cats picked on her. She bonded with us more than her with
peers. She loves to be cuddled and will
curl up in your legs if you sit on the floor with her. She has since learned that she doesn’t have
to hide from everyone and now makes sure she is loved on every time someone is
near.
Kevin
Kevin is our officially-unofficial
greeter. Every day we come in, he is
sitting on the porch waiting for us to talk to him. He loves attention and “cutes” for the
camera. He loves everybody and every cat
that we have had. If you lay down fresh, clean linens he is sure to be the first one nuzzling up on them!
Melody
Nala
Nala is a sweetheart. She loves to be petted and played with and
loved on. She was adopted out at one
time, but her owners lost their house, so she was returned to us. She adores children and loves to be carried
around. She is a very active cat and
loves to chase around the toy mice we have for her.
Olivia
Olivia or "Livvy" is a black and white short-haired female. She is very cute and a sweet-heart. She is more of a human lover over a cat lover. She is very quiet and needs a family who will work with her, pay a lot of attention to her and give her treats. She is calm and keeps to herself around the other cats. She loves to lay on blankets, towels, and pillows.
Panther
Panther is a goofball. He loves attention and will do anything in
his power to make sure he is loved on by all of us. He is very cross-eyed but that only adds to
his charm.
Phoenix
Phoenix was found at UC Clermont. He was being fed by one of the secretaries, Susan. He would hear his name ((which was Phoebe until we found out she was a he)) and come running for whatever yummy treats she had for him. Unfortunately, that is not a safe life. He was relocated to the shelter with three kittens that he protected like crazy. Since separating them, Phoenix has done a complete 180. He meows for you to pet him. He rubs all over your hands and arms. He loves the attention.
Po
Po is all sweet. He came to us with his brother 5oh. He loves to play and always finds a way to entertain himself and you. He and a couple of the cats love to chase
each other through the rooms and play hide and seek.
Popeye
Popeye is blind in one of her eyes. She loves to be petted and if you scratch
right above her tail, her tongue goes crazy!
She is unsure when she is picked up because it throws off her perception
and balance, so she would be perfect in a home with older children. She loves everyone especially when they love
on her!
Ratchett
Ratchett is a short-haired black male. He is an honorary transformer. He came to us in our yard and was around the same age as our other litter of kittens. He is very playful and friendly. He likes to "sneak-attack" your legs. He gets along with dogs and cats. He would be great for a family with children of any ages!
Reese
Reese was found roaming an apartment complex. One of the residents had been feeding her, but with the winter weather coming ((it is Ohio afterall)) she asked us to take her. She is front-declawed. She loves to be loved on and held. She would make a welcome addition to any family.
Romeo
Romeo is, well, our little Romeo. He loves to be loved on. He often follows us from room to room just in
case we stop what we are doing so that he can get all the attention he
wants. He loves to cuddle by us, so
often we find ourselves on the floor having “Romeo time.” He is also front-paw declawed.
Sax
Screech
Not the best picture, but this is Screech. He was born to an abandoned mama-cat at an apartment complex. Someone rescued him and placed him with another group. He came in with an abscess on his side, nose rubbed raw, and ear tipped from being part of a trap-neuter-release program. He was kept in foster care hoping he would be adopted, but unfortunately, he is still scared of people. We took him in hoping to rehabilitate him to wanting affection from us so that he could be adopted. He is letting us pick him up now and he loveslovesloves tuna ♥
Smudge
Smudge is the most laid-back cat ever. You can do just about anything to him and he takes it in stride. He loves attention, but will wait for you to give it to him. He got his name from the "smudge" across his mouth. He is very sweet and loves to be loved.
Sterling
Sterling was brought to us as a feral
kitten and was extremely unsure of himself when he first arrived. He has gotten used to the attention and now
understands that we only want to love on him.
He adores catching the dogs tails as they come into the vet and loves to
be played with.
Tori
Hi friends! My name is Tori. I have beautiful long tortoiseshell-colored hair (red. black, tan). I can't have kittens and I don't have my front claws. My owner did not care for me anymore so she took me to a vet clinic in Canton. That's ok. She wasn't too nice to me. The nice vet and her staff decided to help me find a new home. When they didn't want me anymore, I was transferred to a Sanctuary.
I am a beautiful blend of sassy and sweet, but I am somewhat shy until I get to know you. I liked living with my sister cat until my owners brought in a big feral boy from outside. Before the Sanctuary, I had never even seen a dog. I tolerate them. When I get scared, I sometimes potty outside my litter box. I can't help it. I would love to find someone who will be loving and gentle with me. Do you have room in your heart and home for me?

Tux
Tux is extremely laid back. She loves to be touched and loved on, but will
wait for us to come to her.
Viola
Wendy
Wendy’s story isn’t a happy one. She was an unwanted litter to an indoor/outdoor mommy. She was thrown out of her home when she was old enough to fend for herself, about 4 months old. Since she was unfixed, she ended up pregnant. I found her and was going to bring her home with me. A neighbor of my mother-in-law stepped up and said he would keep her and feed her and care for her. He’d always wanted a white cat. So everything was good. She delivered 4 healthy babies. Then the bad came to her again. (And I kick myself everyday for it). Once her babies were 4 weeks old, she was thrown out again. That’s how I found her. Sitting outside the house yelling for her babies. It was the most heartbreaking scene. So I bundled her up in my coat (it was December) and off we went to my house. She had fleas, mastitis, and was withdrawn. She was nowhere near the kitten she was when I found her. Eventually, she started to come around. She slowly demanding attention. She craved it. Now Wendy is spayed (no more babies for her!), warm, and loved. She loves to be held and loved on. We believe she may have a slight hearing problem. She has to see you in order to understand you’re talking to her. She does NOT like kittens. She actually goes to Petsmart on a leash and harness. She’s not a fan of walking on it, but she’s ok to lounge around in it. Wendy wants a family to love her. She wants to belong. Can you be her finally ever after?
Willow
Willy was found with her brother by an older gentleman. They had been living in a tree. He called us because his mommy cat didn't like the new additions. Willow loves to be loved on. She rubs all over you, begging for attention, but when she wants to play, she plays hard. I don't think there is a halfway point for her. It's all or nothing. Often we find her hanging on the back of the door, using it as a swing. She loves to be pet and would do well with any family, but I think would love a little girl to carry her around constantly.
Wilma
Oh, Wilma.
She definitely has her own personality.
She loves to have pictures taken of her and often poses just to make
sure we get her “good side.” She does
not like children, but would make a great companion to an older couple or an
older person. She tolerates other cats,
but would prefer she be the one and only in your heart.
The Transformers
A little background.
This litter had 9 kittens in it, fondly referred to as “The Transformers.” They were brought to us when they were about 2 weeks old, so they still required round-the-clock care with the feedings every two hours. Needless to say, they’re kinda spoiled.
Arcee
Arcee is one of six girls in the litter, but what her brothers didn’t
have in numbers, they made up for in rough-housing. She is tougher than any of them. Arcee has a thing with attacking feet. And when you don’t pick her up or say something
to her when you walk into the room, she whines at you. She is extremely playful and will play with
just about anything. She loves to be
cuddled on her terms. Meaning not when
it’s play time. Any other time, she
loves to lay draped over your legs or arms.
Bumblebee
Bee is one of three boys and he loves to try and act like the “big
brother.” When they were first brought
to us, we immediately noticed that he was constantly around his sister
Jazz. The first few weeks were really
tough on her and he was always by her side.
We used to tell him after bath time to go find Jazzy and he would go
clean her and keep her warm. Once he
figured out that we were trying to help them, he stopped glaring at us when we
picked up Jazz. Bee is one of the most
loving out of the whole litter. He
allows kisses when he wants them. When
he has had enough, he covers his face to hide from kisses and it’s become a
game with him. He loves to cuddle and
wants to be the first one picked up when you walk in. He also "helps" his mommies with their homework. He loves it when he’s called “My Bee.”
Ironhide
Ironhide
loves to cuddle. When you go into the
room and sit, he’s the first one sitting on your lap. As a kitten, he loved to chase around a softball, which was
almost as big as he is. He loves to be
held and carried around. He also adores to be brushed which is great considering he has long soft fur. And totally anti-homework :)
Jazz
Jazz
is the feisty one of the group. When
they were brought in, Jazz had a hard time adjusting to bottle feedings. She would fight with it and growl – it was
actually pretty adorable. She was under
the constant supervision of her brother Bumblebee. Every time we picked her up, he was watching
us. Once she realized that everything
was going to be okay, she started opening up in a way we didn’t know she was
capable of. She had a completely
different attitude. Instead of laying
around all the time, she would come running at us to pounce. She likes to climb up the back of your shirt
to launch off your shoulder at Bee. She
is so playful and she wants to go constantly.
Elita
Elita is one of six girls in the litter, but
what her brothers didn’t have in numbers, they made up for in rough-housing. She is used to handling them. She is the most laid back out of all the
kittens, but plays like crazy when they get started. She loves to lay right next to you as she
sleeps. Or as you can tell in 0the
picture, lays on whatever you’re looking at.
We actually didn’t pose her this way either. It was one of those golden moments where a
picture is worth a thousand words.
Megatron
Megatron
was the runt of the litter, so required a little more TLC than the others. She ate like a piglet the first three
weeks! Since the time they were brought
in, she has grown to be the size of her other siblings. She loves to chase them around and bite their
tails. She gets up on her hind legs and
pounce them or smack them. We call it
her “Godzilla pose” because, well, that’s what she looks like. She likes to cuddle, but wants to play
constantly!
Mudflap
Mudflap
loves to lay on your shoulder. She
climbs around on your head… and swings on your hair. She loves to play with the little balls with
bells… and actually just about anything she can get her paws on. Occasionally, we call her Jealousy. She wants to be the center of attention, so she makes sure that you have at least one hand petting her at all times. She loves to snuggle when it's time for bed.
