So everyone thinks rescue is all roses and rainbows. It does have that side. But it also has a dark side. The side that we don't share too much with the public. Because it might offend someone. It might upset them. It's the unspoken truce between us and the people who support us. We don't say or tell anything graphic or controversial.... and they don't ask. But.... we've always been 100% honest with ya'll. And I think that's the greatest part of our relationship. You guys know we're going to be real... and we know that ya'll will still be with us.
So here it goes..... This weekend has brought back into light the dark side of what I do. You see a Mountain Dew box on the side of the road..... chances are you don't stop. But as a rescuer....... I do.... And thankfully.... someone did. You see. A fellow rescuer happened upon a taped up Mountain Dew box and decided instead of running it over... to get up and move it out of the road. THANK GOD she did.... wanna guess what was inside the box??? Like you needed to guess. Three kittens. THE FUCK would someone tape kittens in a GD box and leave it to where it would get hit?? I hate people on a good day.
There are so many other stories that over the years have stolen a part of my soul. I've shared some. But some of them are near and dear to my heart. Why?? Because these are the monsters that have called to my heart. These are some of the missing pieces of my soul that have managed to find their way back to me.
